Collectors of lichens of Xinjiang (China)

  1. Abbas, Abdulla: - Abbas is the author of a checklist of the lichens of Xinjiang. It is based on research during 15 years. About 6000 specimens were collected from 40 sites in the Altay, Tianshan, and Kunlun Mountains.

  2. Elenkin, : - Recorded 2 species in Elenkin (1901).

  3. Futterer, : - Recorded 38 species in Futterer (1991).

  4. Hummel, H.: - Lichens collected by H. Hummel from Tianshan and Bugda Mountains of Xinjiang during 1928--1930 included 13 genera and 27 species (Magnusson, 1940).

  5. Jinong, Wu: - Coauthor of a checklist of Xinjiang.

  6. Liu: - Collections published 1934. Liu's 120 collections were sent to France for determination, and the results appeared in Moreau and Moreau (1951), who reported 15 genera and 20 species from Xinjiang.

  7. Mijit, Hairet: - Coauthor of a checklist of Xinjiang.

  8. Tumur, Anwar: - Coauthor of a checklist of Xinjiang.

  9. Wang: - Wang (1985) recorded 25 genera, 67 species, 10 varieties, and 3 forms from Tumer Peak, the highest peak in the Tianshan Mountains. Of these, 23 species, 3 varieties, and 3 forms were new records for China, and 28 species, 5 varieties, and 1 form were new distributional records for Xinjiang. On the other hand.

  10. Wu: - Wu (1985) reported 13 genera, 23 species, 2 varieties, and 1 form from Yultuz Basin and Sayram Lake, Xinjiang, including 13 species, 2 varieties, and 1 form as new records for the area.

  11. Xahidin, H.: - Collected the type of Pyrenodesmia tianshanensis. Material in XJU.

  12. Zhu: - Recorded 8 genera and 10 species in 1935.
