Photobiont: Data lacking.

Chemistry: Acroscyphan (Huneck & Yoshimura 1996: 131), Zeorin, calycin, gyrophoric acid, two unknown substances (Singh & Sinha 2010: 68).

Ecology: On nutrient-rich rocks in open situations at high altitudes, mainly above 3000 m, except in high latitudes, where it descends to lower levels (Tibell 1996: 15).

Distribution Type: Global but very scattered.
