Thallus: crustose, whitish (brownish where photobiont absent), immersed in bark, forming patches to 2 cm across. Ascomata lerelliform, slightly immersed to sessile, sinuous and/or bent, mostly unbranched, occasionally once branched, mostly narrowed at ends, to 1.5 mm long, 0.2-0.3 mm across, with disk white pruinose and margin often becoming white pruinose or in places at ends ....
