Type locality: Costa Rica, Puntarenas, Carara National Park, lowland moist forest zone, partly disturbed primary forest along stream with dense Erythrochiton gymnanthus understory, on bark of a stem in clearing, 100 m, 18 July 2002, Sipman 48392h (B - holotype; INB 3987223, F - isotypes).
