Protolog: A simili Bacidia laurocerasi differt sporis firme conglutinatis et inter se contortis, pigmentoque epithecii in matricem gelatinosam circa ascos contracto. Etiam B. heterochroae similis quae pigmentum cinereo-fuscum in apicibus paraphysorum et sporas non conglutinatas habet.

Tucker 11128b (hb. Tucker - holotype).
