Thallus: crustose, thin, grey to greenish grey, verrucose or + immersed. Apothecia 0.5 - 0.8 mm, 6-8 times as high as width of stalk, black, shiny, head 0.12-0.4 mm in diameter, lens-shaped, stalk 0.008-0.12 mm in diameter. Asci clavate, 32-42 /5-8 µm. Ascospores 7-12 /3-5 µm, not uniseriate, incised at septum and with irregular cracks on the surface (Jando 2000: 33).

Ecology: On bark of trunks of Pinus sylvestris up to ca. 0.4 m from ground in a well-lit pine forest (Jando 2000: 33).
