Cladonia merochlorophaea Asahina

Type locality: Germany, Niedersachsen, Oldenburg, Oldenburger Sand, 1918, H. Sandstede in Sandstede: Cladon. Exs. 389 (TNS - lectotype; B, FH, H, UPS - isolectotypes). Lectotypification.

Chemistry: Merochlorophaeic acid, fumarprotocetraric acid (Will-Wolf 1998: 329).

Note: There is a variety:
Cladonia merochlorophaea var. novochlorophaea Sipman, Acta Bot. Neerl. 22: 496 (1973). Type locality: Netherlands, Terschelling Island, Boschplaat, 1971, H. J. M. Sipman 4895 (U - holotype).
