Type locality: Cuba, without locality and date, C. Wright 107, as "Coccocarpia parmelioides var. erythrocardia Tuck." (G - lectotype; BM, FH, GB, L, M, PC herb. gen., PC herb. Hue, UPS, US - isolectotype). Lectotypification by Arvidsson (1982: 56).
