Basionym: Bacidia myrtillicola Erichsen, Mitt. Inst. Allg. Bot. Hamburg 10: 414 (1939)

 

Thallus: Pycnidia abundant, more or lesse cupulate, grey to blackish; macroconidia long, filiform, sigmoid, unicellular, hyline. Microconidia borne in very inconspicuous microconidiomata slightly allantoid, unicellular, hyaline, 4 - 7.5 / 2 - 3 µm. Algae possibly belonging to Chlorococcaceae, green, unicellular, subglobose or globose, sometimes broadly ellipsoid, up to 10 µm in diameter (Harmaja 2008: 53).

Chemistry: Indigo blue pigment on or between the hyphae of the upper part of the pycnidia (Harmaja 2008: 53).
