Thallus: pendulous, flaccid, to 20 cm long, dichotomously and irreguarly branched. Branches pale brown with with a yellow tinge, subterete, longitudinally grooved. Soredia and isidia absent. Cortex thin, 20 - 30 µm. Medulla arachnoid. Axis solid, thin, elastic when strechted. Apothecia unknown (Krog 1976: 95).

Algae: Green algae.

Chemistry: Atranorin in the cortex, vulpinic acid and triterpenoids in the medulla (Krog 1976: 95).

Ecology: Corticolous.
