Thallus: foliose, coriaceous, adnate, bright yellow to yellow-green. Lobes 0.5- 1cm wide, eciliate, with entire or weakly crenate margins. Upper side emaculate, becoming rugose, irregularly cracked and sometimes lobulate towards the centre. Medulla white. Under side black in the centre, with a wide, brown, shiny marginal zone, rhizines sparsely developed. Soralia marginal, linear on peripheral lobes and subcapitate on ascending lateral lobes, sometimes spreading diffusely on the lamina, soredia granular, pale green to yellowish. Apothecia unknown. Pycnidia unkown.

Chemistry: Protocetraric acid (PD+ orange-red), ? traces of fatty acids, usnic acid.

Ecology: Corticolous on shrubs in a well-lit dry side at 1000 m altitude (known only from type locality).
