Paulia glomerata Henssen & Tretiach

Protolog: Thallus nigricans, subfruticulosus, usque ad 20(-30) mm latus, substrato umbilico vel hyphis rhizoidalibus affixus, cum glomerulis, soredia ferentibus; globerula chorda connexa, hyphis pachydermatis constructa. Hyphae thallinae reticulum regulare formantes. Apothecia rara, ad 1.3 mm lata, adnata vel immersa, margine thallode circumdata, discus fuscus. Hymenium in iodo non caerulescens; excipulum distinctum non evolutum. Sporae simplices, quatuor vel octonae, ellipsoidae vel subglobosae, 10-13(-17) x 9.5-11(-15) µm, pariete incrassato 1-2 µm lato. Pycnidia 60-130 µm lata, conidia cylindrica, 2.5-3.5 x c. 1 µm. Alga symbiotica verosimiliter ad ordinem Chroococcales pertinens.

Type locality: Slovenia, upper Isonzo valley between Zaga and Bovec, cascades of Rio Boka, on a calcareous cliff at the mouth of the gorge, 380 m, 25.4.1993, leg. Bolognini, Rondi & Tretiach (TSB-16851 - holotype; Henssen - isotype).
