Description: Lichen. Thallus crustose, pale olive green, areolate and cracked, surface smooth and dull; corticolous. Apothecia verruciform, numerous, conspicuous, concolorous with the thallus, crowded, sometimes confluent, flattened hemispherical, usually concave above, 0.4-1.0 diam.; ostioles black, conspicuous, 1-2(-5) per verruca; spores 4 per ascus, ellipsoid, smooth, 90-115(-135) µm long, 30-45(-50) µm wide.

Chemistry: K-, KC-, C-, Pd-; lichexanthone (minor or major), 2-chlorolichexanthone (minor or major), stenosporic acid (trace), 2-0-methylperlatolic acid (minor), perlatolic acid (trace), 2-0-methylperlatolic acid (minor or trace), 2-0-methylisohyperlatolic acid (minor or major), 2-0-methylsuperlatolic acid (major).

Ecology: On dead wood in monsoon forest, on Leucaena leucocephala along the foreshore.

Distribution type: Venezuela, Cuba, Sao Paulo (Brazil), Northern Territory (Australia) and Papua New Guinea.
