Pleurosticta acetabulum (Neck.) Elix & Lumbsch

Basionym: Lichen acetabulum Neck., Delic. Gallo-Belgic. Silvetsr. 2: 506 (1768).

Chemistry: "The M. acetabulum group lacks cortical constituents and contains only the ß-orcinol depsidones, norstictic acid and salazinic acid in the medulla" (Lumbsch et al. 1988: 453).

Distribution: Common in Denmark and southernmost Sweden, extending to central Sweden, southeastern Finland and sparsely along the Norwegian coast to Tröndelag. Widespread from temperate Europe to China, India and northern Africa.
