Basionym: Physcia attenuata Pers., Ann. Wetter. Gesellsch. Ges. Naturk. 2: 18 (1811) [1810].

 

Thallus: caespitose (max. alt. 4 cm.), rigid, virescent; cortex striate; laciniae branched, dichotomous, terete, apices filiform. Apothecia common, small (max. diam. 2.5 mm.), lateral, convex, marginate, disk buff. Spores subfusiform, straight, 18 - 21 x 6 - 7.5 µm.
