Ramalina sideriza Zahlbr.

Thallus: It has a conspicuously striate lobe surface, which soon develops into distinct parallel ridges abrading into broadened, linear pseudocyphellae. The lower surface of apothecia is relatively smooth and not tuberculate or ridged, the lobe tips are curled backwards into "shepherdsÂ’ crooks".

Photobiont: Green alga.

Chemistry: Salazinic acid and usnic acid.

Ecology: Corticolous or lignicolous or rarely saxicolous.
