Type: Chile, without detail locality, PÖPPIG Crypt. no. 40 - holotype in WRSL.

 

Thallus: Its most conspicuous features are the corticolous habit, the lanceolate branches (main branches 4 – 5 cm long, 1.5 – 2.5 mm wide) growing from a delimited holdfast, the dorsiventral branches without soredia, the narrow and elongated pseudocyphellae on both sides, the chondroid tissue without cracks, the laminal and marginal apothecia, the thalloid exciples without pseudocyphellae, the short fusiform spores of 12 – 15 x 4 – 6 µm and the absence of medullary substance.
