Type: Argentina, Córdoba, "La Calera Sud", 1933, C.C. Hosseus 213 (BP - holotype TLC: Chemotype G).

Thallus: squamulose, indeterminate. Squamules up to 3 mm diameter, scattered to contiguous, orbicular when young, later irregular, plane to moderately convex. Upper side pale grey, covered with farinose pruina, dull, lacking fissures, pores, and pseudocyphellae. Margin concolorous with upper side, pruinose.
